Opening Scripture:
1 Samuel 23: 1 – 2
1: When David was told, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,”
2: he inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The LORD answered him, “Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.”
3:But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!”
4:Once again David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.
Glory to God!
Beloved until you build a deeper relationship with God then can you hear Him when He responds to your Inquire?
This will enable you to know God’s response and neglect any other contrary response seeking your obedience.
When you lack a deep relationship with the Spirit of the Lord you can’t be able to recognize God’s response when you ask.
From the opening scripture, you would realize a contrary response of fear was spoken from David’s men but David gave no thought to that but still went to God for double confirmation.
If your relationship with God is not stable that negative voice of fear that appears real can convince you to do otherwise.
But David knew the God He serves and when He says GO, certainly He is with him.
In the eyes of the natural man Keilah was a strong force but all David wanted before he attacked was the support and leading of God and that is victory assured.
Beloved, You don’t need the validation of men when making major decisions all you need is God’s approval.
Note: No matter the magnitude of the challenge inquire from God and trash any negative response speaking otherwise.
How do you know a negative response?
It’s always contrary to God’s word. Let God’s word be your yardstick – Use it to determine negative responses and waste no time trashing them. Regardless of who made such suggestions.
Decisions are major in our fulfillment of destiny be quick to reject negative responses concerning a matter.
If David gave a listening ear to the contrary voice of fear we would never have read about this victory he had.
Be careful who you listen to,
It’s vital!
Make up your mind to stay in a deeper relationship with God, and study His words always, allowing him to guide you in life.
Dedicated followers of Christ hear the voice of our father.
John 10: 27 says My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
God knows His children and the act of obedience to His words proves you know Him.
Listen, our God is void of mistakes therefore His responses ( solution) concerning a challenge are always perfect and bring victory to us and glory to His name. Amen!
